Well our load of snowblowers are in and ready for delivery. The cold weather is right around the corner and snow will be here soon. I know you don’t want to hear the snow word but the truth is it’s coming. We are also doing snowblower repairs now, so bring your snow blower down or have us pick it up. Where did summer go and now here comes fall. What happen it seems we were just getting ready for 4th of July and now here we are the fall season. Well it time to get ready for the leaves to come down and stock up on firewood. That means starting up the chainsaw and the blowers. Hurricane Irene seem to help get the chainsaws started up but now it’s time to start the leaf blowers. Make sure you start with fresh fuel and don’t forget to mix 2 cycle oil with the gas. Check the air filters and spark plugs if they look bad replace them. If your equipment won’t start bring them in now before the rush. Spring has sprung

OK open up the shed and move things around and watch the mice go in all directions. It’s time to move the mower out and put the snow blower away. Wow what a winter it’s been. I don’t know about you but I’m sick of cold weather and being indoors all the time. I want to get outside and start planting, mulching and cutting grass. NOW is the time to try your outdoor power equipment to see if it works or not. And don’t wait to bring it down for repairs. We are busy but not crazy busy yet. In the next couple of weeks we will be straight out and telling customers we are 7 to 10 days before we can touch their machine. That’s why we want you to get it in now before the rush. We expect to see more carburetor work this spring due to ethanol problems. As you have read in my earlier blogs treat the gas before you have problems. Look on my earlier blog to see how to get your equipment ready for storage. So don’t wait check out all your equipment and get it fixed before you need it. And let’s have a great outdoor season.

Here comes Spring (we hope)

Well here I sit looking out my bay window and watch the snow fall yet again. I have to say it looks beautiful when it’s new but I’ve had enough we need an early spring. I’m looking at my boat and wishing I was in Cape Cod Bay catching big bass. It won’t be long before I’ll uncover my boat and get it ready for boating season. I always take the time to do preventive maintenance before heading out on the water. The month of March is a great time to pull the rope on all your equipment and see if it will start. It’s also good to look for worn parts and cracked belts. When we are looking at Snapper and Troy Bilt equipment we look for problems before they happen. The bigger Bobcat equipment requires a little more time because there is a lot more to look for. If you don’t do anything else you should change the oil and change the spark plug, clean the air filter and sharpen the blade. If this is not what you like to do then We service most types of equipment but it’s best to call our service department and let us know what brand you have. We get very busy when the weather turns good so don’t wait bring in your equipment now and have it ready when you need it.

February 1st Scargo Cafe had their drawing for the Troy-Bilt Snow blower that we helped supply. Having a snow blower in a restaurant for a couple of months really caused a great deal of conversation. I had more people ask me why we put a snow blower in the middle of a restaurant. With the snow we have gotten this year there were a lot of people hoping to win the grand prize. Bayside Equipments ”2011″ resolutions

1) Customer service has always been #1 but we can always do better so our crew is going to work harder to do what it takes to keep them coming back.

2) Sometimes parts need to be ordered It’s hard to keep everything in stock so I want to get those parts to the customer as soon as possible.

3) Commercial accounts are very important to us and when they have a breakdown we want to be there ready to help. I’m proud to say we have earned the reputation of being #1 for keeping landscapers up and running and we want to keep that reputation going.

Unlike other shops I want to hear how we are doing so please let me know.

Because we can’t fix the problem if we don’t know we have a problem.
